Brighton’s rising indie-rock band Bacci Pouch have released their new single, "Normal People," blending the raw energy of Buzzcocks with the indie-rock spirit of The Libertines, capturing both nostalgia and youthful rebellion.
The track opens with a driving bassline, buoyant fuzzy guitars, and punchy drums, creating a messy, vintage 70s vibe. At its heart, the track is a catchy indie-pop anthem with a punk edge, featuring irresistible lead vocal melodies. Lyrically, the song explores the feeling of being disconnected from society and the search for a connection that makes life feel “normal.” Lead singer James Neighbour describes it as a reflection on finding common ground with someone who makes you feel understood despite life's chaos.
Recorded at Forum Studios with producer Erik Miles (Soft Play, Kate Nash) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975), "Normal People" has already become a fan favourite at the band’s live shows, known for its pulsating bassline and relatable lyrics.
