Based in Devon, England, singer/songwriter Daniel Schamroth’s latest single “Skyscraper” is a simple, acoustic track with just guitar and vocals, echoing the raw, organic beauty of the stunning landscapes that surround him. The stripped back, lofi release was recorded at home, further emphasizing the authenticity and intimacy of his sound, delivered with a personal and unfiltered touch.
The story behind “Skyscraper” is about the honeymoon stage of a relationship, where your stomach is filled with butterflies and you feel on top of the world. Schamroth shares, “Skyscraper was written in the early throes of romance, when you first meet someone. You feel like the world's your oyster and you're out exploring that secret world together, feeling unstoppable and full of possibility.”
The emotionally charged track oozes with sincerity, as he vulnerably bares his heart on his sleeve. Reminiscent of Noel Gallagher meets Neil Young, “Skyscraper” is demonstrative of the incredible songwriting talent and musicianship that Schamroth beholds.
