Rising Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Bukola slowly makes her way up the ranks as the next R&B star in line. With impressive accomplishments such as winning the Juno Awards Host Committee Battle of the Bands and performing at prestigious events like the Honey Jam, NXNE, and the Juno Awards Pre-event to now working on her debut EP with LA-based producers, Baca & Brandn and releasing her newest single "Antisocial Butterfly." The track is the focus track from the aforementioned EP and serves as an introduction of sorts for new listeners. Here, Bukola pours her heart over the sullen guitar licks and warm mellow backdrop as she shows us what makes her tick. She admits to being quiet and introverted for most of the time. Lines like "I wish I could go out to a party, Be like everybody, Let loose and let the music take over my body, Talk with those around me, But I’m so insecure, " underscore her reserved nature as she wonders how life would be different if she was more outgoing.
Bukola recently worked on a song for the #1 Netflix show, "Ginny & Georgia," and also on the 20th Century Studios/Disney+ film, The Princess, on the end credit song where she worked with Emmy-nominated composer, Natalie Holt, and multi-platinum producer, Jon Levine.
