Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, and currently based in Los Angeles, California, alternative indie soul artist Arima Ederra has been captivating audiences as the opener for Ravyn Lenae’s Bird’s Eye tour.

As Ederra stepped onto the stage at Webster Hall this Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, in her sparkly boots and emerald green one-piece romper, I watched as audience members swooned when she grabbed her guitar to perform standout songs like “Portals.”

One of the most special moments of her set was when she sang "Drugz/Wooden Wheel," sharing a heartfelt story in which Ederra recounted how her dad passed away and could no longer bring flowers to her mother, a tradition she now honors in his place. She concluded the song by inviting the audience to join in on the lyric “I know if I wait a little bit longer, I’ll be fine.”

As the crowd chanted together in unison, the energy in Webster Hall transformed, creating a palpable sense of connection and healing that filled the room.

Another standout moment came when Ederra delivered an acoustic rendition of Mos Def’s “Boogeyman,” elevating the recording to new heights.

Ederra's voice, with its gentle sweetness, melded beautifully with the strings of her guitar, adding depth to each note.

While I would have loved to hear her backed by a live band, her performance as an opener calmed the audience and made everyone fall in love with the gentle melodies and heartfelt lyrics in her songs.

Arima Ederra not only showcased her talent but also left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.
