Brighton singer-songwriter Jimmy Herrity returns with his poignant new single, “Lost Boys,” delving into themes of loss, grief, and the passage of time, and showcasing Herrity’s gift for emotionally charged storytelling.

Built around a gentle soundscape of fingerpicked electric guitar and subtle acoustics, “Lost Boys” features Herrity’s fragile vocal delivery, creating an atmosphere that ebbs and flows toward a layered conclusion. The song captures the heaviness of loss and the weight of unfulfilled plans, enriched by Herrity's personal experiences, including the breakdown of a five-year relationship, and the loss of his brother and a close friend.

Reflecting on the song, Herrity shares, “‘Lost Boys’ is about that gnawing feeling of wishing you'd done more with your time.” Originally titled “The Lost Boy,” he changed it to acknowledge multiple losses in his life. The cover photo holds special significance, depicting a joyful moment with his late brother, now transformed into grayscale to symbolise his grief.

Following performances at the Isle of Wight Festival earlier this year, as well as appearances at Washed Out, Neon, and Icebreaker, Jimmy is preparing for his biggest headline shows to date in December 2024.
