Los Angeles based musician, singer-songwriter and creator Henry Hall has just shared his third album. Entitled Stop Doing Funny Stuff, the 11 track sonic oasis is a refreshingly honest, comedic and at times poignant exploration of love, loss, introversion, body image reflections, grief and relationships. A standout track on the album is the mesmerizing "Luce" which is also released alongside a music video.

With "Luce", Henry Hall recounts an anxiety provoking bad dream about a current crush in his life. Throughout the song Henry Hall tells the story of what the girl confides in him as he feels her slipping away, "You don't worry about him / You are still more than just a friend." The words don't make sense to him and her reisurrance isn't helpful, creating a deep sense of stress. Musically, "Luce" is a boundary-pushing gem filled with lush acoustic guitars, layered emotive vocals, vibrant beats and fuzzy synths. The song also features an electrifying psychedelic rock solo which mirrors the frustrations Henry feels about the dream. The atmospheric build-up and the eventual eruption of sound create a powerful emotional impact. The song is shared alongside a lofi video where the musician is singing and playing his guitar outside in Los Angeles. At the end he even head bangs, again showing his knack for creating funny moments even in a troubled recollection.

Henry Hall has the unique ability of creating evocative, mood-setting music that resonates deeply with fans. The artist is inspired by the likes of Frank Zappa, Patsy Cline, and vaporwave auteur Oneohtrix Point. His own music blends a variety of genres including dreampop, indie rock, soul, psychedelica and more. Check out "Luce" now and feel less alone in your loneliness.
