Danny Miles – "That's All, That's It" (feat. Shad)
Producer Danny Miles teams up with veteran rapper Shad for "That's All, That's It" which is part of his forthcoming project that pairs instrumentals from the producer with different artists. The track comprises mellowed drums and off-center choppy samples which pairs perfectly with Shad's expressive flow and insightful lyrical schemes. The song is lifted from Danny Miles' self-produced debut Beautiful Music.
Dan-e-o – "Supreme" (feat. Nish)
Veteran Toronto lyricist Dan-e-o and fellow Monolith member Nish team up for "Supreme", a hard-hitting tune that showcases pure unadulterated lyricism from these two rap pugilists. Over Charisma a.k.a. Skizzz's thumping soundscape of lush horns, gritty sample chops and punchy drum grooves, the emcees break the rules with verbal body blows and haymakers. The sampled chorus also bolstered the track, which uses Big Daddy Kane's vocals to good effect.
Lina Cooper – "Too Much To Ask"
LA-based singer-songwriter Lina Cooper caught our attention with her latest effort "Too Much To Ask". The rousing pop-rock tune explores one-sided love from her perspective and details all the things she did to gain that true love she wanted. Backed by a rich guitar arrangement and punchy drum grooves, Lina delivers a heartwarming performance ripe with candid and unapologetic lyrics that give listeners a glimpse into her past.
D Monnzy – "BEAST MODE"
Emerging rapper D Monnzy steps up to bat in "BEAST MODE", a guitar-driven piece underpinned by fiery raps and his laidback and smooth flows. As the title suggests, it showcases his lyrical dexterity and expressive rhyme schemes.
Bishop Sparks – "Jazz Raps Vol. I (Miles)"
With much gusto, Brooklyn-based musician/producer Bishop Sparks delivers his new single "Jazz Raps Vol. I (Miles)". The jazz-infused piece is made up of soulful pads, lush horn passes and hushed drums that fit his expressive flow and reflective rhymes that dive into his life's journey.
Omniscence – "Rap vs Crack"
"Rap vs Crack" is the newest release from North Carolina-based rap veteran Omniscence. The track originally recorded in the '90s was part of his shelved album The Raw Factor which is getting a proper release in May. "Rap vs Crack" as the title suggests, juxtaposes the two different but connected worlds of the street and urban culture of hip-hop, rap specifically and we get to hear Omniscence's unique take on it as he drops hard-hitting and graphic bars over Fanatic's bass-heavy boom-bap soundscape. Reedus 3m – "Feeling Back"
Reedus 3m harks back to the past in "Feeling Back", a reflective tune that explores the concept of finding one's spark as an artist. Over the dreamy and sublime soundscape, Reedus talks about personal experiences, ups and downs that derail him but he is not giving up on finding his true purpose.
Edgar Homeros – "Belong To The Wind"
Stockholm-based singer-songwriter Edgar Homeros is preparing to release his EP Crying Dove, but in the meantime, he shares "Belong To The Wind", a warm and heartfelt single that explores nostalgia and bright childhood memories. The track pays homage to his hometown and it's ripe with soul-stirring melodies and heartwarming lyrics that everyone can relate to.
Kurran Karbal – "Nowhere Else On Earth"
Kurran Karbal makes his entry on our site with "Nowhere Else On Earth", a smooth and groovy pop-infused experimental track that explores loss, lovelorn situations and finding solace in keeping that long-lost love. The production is reflective and groovy and his expressive vocal runs are prevalent, especially in the chorus where it reaches a crescendo.
edbl, Turt and Quinn Oulton- "Never Stops"
UK instrumentalist and producer edbl teamed up with rapper Turt and singer/saxophonist Quinn Oulton for this jazz/soul-infused collaboration "Never Stops". Bolstered by a sublime soundscape filled with dreamy textures, bass-drive grooves and heavenly sax riffs, Turt kicks bars on resilience and finding one's true purpose amid the craziness. Quinn also touches the track with a soft melodic hook and the result is a motivational and heartwarming track that is much needed in these peak times.
Rhyme Assassin – "Run Em Up (Told Ya)" feat. M.O.P. & Ruste Juxx
"Run Em Up (Told Ya)" is the ultimate street banger brought to us by Zimbabwe-born, London-based emcee Rhyme Assassin who has teamed up with veteran hip-hop duo M.O.P. and the one and only Ruste Juxx. The production is anthemic and cinematic and fits perfectly with M.O.P's boisterous and energetic performance alongside Rhyme Assassin's laidback flow and Ruste Juxx's gruff vocal runs.
Plunki – "Better Days"
Genre-bending singer-songwriter Plunki invites us to bask in "Better Days". Her latest effort is an atmospheric pop-infused R&B indie offering that is nostalgia-inducing, dreamy and warm. Armed with distinctive alluring vocal runs, she delivers a sublime performance while imploring us to capture each happy moment as it occurs.
dom champ – "Weed"
Brighton, England-based rapper/spoken word artist dom champ pens a hazy ode to 420 in his new single "Weed". The aptly titled song has a laidback and relaxing vibe and his songwriting leads listeners deep into the world of herd smokes, mental health and finding one's true balance within the madness of the world.
Bruj – "The Edge"
German rapper/songwriter Bruj makes his entry on our playlist with this reflective tune titled "The Edge". Backed by soulful guitar plucks and warm textures, Bruj gives audiences his perspective on life, the constraining limits and how we react to the world around us
Jon Billz – "Do Better"
Emerging rapper Jon Billz gets into his element as he drops new single "Do Better". The track has a punchy club groove with pulsating basslines and dark synths and is underpinned by his no-holds barred raps.
NugLife x Rocky G x Xp The Marxman – "INSTITUTIONAL EYES"
LA-based native underground super producer NugLife teams up with Rocky G and Xp The Marxman for this new grimey tune titled "INSTITUTIONAL EYES". The mellow and haunting soundscape has a cinematic feel and is peppered by the rapper's off-kilter street street-savvy bars. The track is lifted from Nuglife's new project NUGLIFE 2024 full album out now just in time for the 420 holiday.
KayOrAlpha x JusJugga – "Dirty South"
"Dirty South" is an anthemic track from UK rap duo KayOrAlpha and JusJugga who lead us into the dark streets of South London. The production is edgy and blends grime with modern bass-laden drill sounds underpinned by fiery raps from both emcees.
YOSHE ROSE – "Crazy"
"Crazy" is the latest release from singer YOSHE ROSE and shows her in her element as she delivers a soul-stirring performance ripe with candid lyrics.
