Turkish-Italian DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Carlita has officially signed with Ninja Tune through its imprint label Counter Records and has unveiled her eagerly anticipated fan-favorite single “Time”. Celebrated for her dynamic and sought-after DJ sets, Carlita blends classical music with electronic elements to craft a unique sound influenced by Turkish psychedelia and rock, establishing herself as one of the most thrilling new talents in electronic music.

Commenting on her new affiliation with the Counter family, which boasts a roster including artists like ODESZA, TSHA, LP Giobbi, and Maribou State, Carlita states, “Ninja Tune is such an iconic label for me. I grew up listening to Coldcut, Amon Tobin, and Bonobo. I love the diversity of sounds, the crossover, and futuristic approach, and I feel so honored to be part of such an amazing artist roster”.Carlita’s DJ performances are a mesmerizing mix of live and ethereal soundscapes, highlighting her diverse musical background and skill. In recent times, she has graced the stages of renowned festivals such as Cercle, Tomorrowland, and Burning Man, as well as iconic venues in London like Printworks and Village Underground. 2024 is shaping up to be Carlita’s most significant year yet, with scheduled performances at Coachella, CRSSD, EDC, and Parklife Festival, along with a series of shows at Circoloco in Ibiza and additional global tour dates. With the signing announcement, Carlita has released the highly anticipated new single “Time”. The track, which is both emotive and entrancing, has quickly become a fan favorite, making appearances as the closing track in her acclaimed Tomorrowland set and becoming the most replayed moment online. Since then, she has been teasing the single, further fueling demand from fans for its official release. “Time” serves as a preview of a more extensive body of work that will solidify Carlita’s exceptional production and songwriting skills.

To celebrate the release, two bespoke visuals featuring Carlita, created by creative directors Asli Tunamen and Greg Barnes, will be showcased simultaneously in London’s W1 Curates exhibition space and New York’s Times Square. Additionally, there will be two pop-up release parties at undisclosed exciting venues in London and New York on April 2nd and 3rd. Carlita will be marking her signing and single release with two exclusive events, the first at the newly opened LA nightclub The Spotlight and then with Teksupport in New York.

“Time” is out now on Counter Records, with more new music on the horizon.
