LA-based indie pop singer-songwriter Lina Cooper left her hometown in Ukraine at the age of 17 to pursue her musical career. After attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music, she started performing in different venues across New England and racking up her mandatory 10,000 hours of practice. Armed with her distinctively raspy vocal tone and candid songwriting skills, Lina is poised to take her art to the next level as she continues her slew of releases which includes her latest single titled "Matty Healy". Inspired by the English singer-songwriter and lead vocalist from the band the 1975, and a dream she had in which he was trying to woo her. The retro-tinged summer pop tune digs deep into a young girl's fantasies viewed from a midsummer dream. Over the warm pulsating guitar licks, punchy drums and overall dreamy aesthetic, Lina takes us into her dream with vivid lines like "Last night I had a dream/Matty Healy was trying to sleep with me/He was shirtlessly serenading me/I was almost gonna do it, but I didn’t" followed by adulation-filled quips matched by a memorable hook.
