Belgian/Spanish singer-songwriter Demmy Sober came to the forefront during the SoundCloud era with her unique take on future pop/alternative R&B-infused music. Now based in the US, Demmy is currently working on her album which will include collaborations with producers like Sony-signed Spanish producer PMP and ActiveByNight but in the interim, she shares the lead single "Practice" featuring Blkswn. The PMP-produced track has a soul-stirring and atmospheric aesthetic that rises to a crescendo on the hook section. The pulsating bass synths, moody textures and punchy grooves are underpinned by Demmy's sultry and warm vocal runs and heartfelt lyrics like "Now I’m none but my own/Why I’m numb to the bone?/ Can you fix me?" that reflect on repeated heartbreaks, breakups and rotating exes. Joining her is Blkswn who adds a hip-hop flair into the mix with his soft melodic voice that compliments Demmy's airy performance.
The accompanying visual is a collage of clips threaded together with a sepia-tone aesthetic and retro motif.
