Silyla's "Doing Too Much" is a refreshing wave in the UK R&B landscape, a track that underscores the artist's remarkable skills in both songwriting and production. With a penchant for R&B, Silyla injects attitude and soulful flair into the track, signaling a notable shift in her musical approach. Penned by Silyla and brought to life in her home studio alongside producer Rndmbeats, the song is a testament to her creative vision and versatility.

The single grooves with bounce, opening with a lower pitched electric guitar riff and R&B trap drums filling our headphones. Silya’s vocals float in a soft tone, with sprinkles of vocal effects throughout.

The Canadian-born, London-based artist's journey is marked by a string of successful releases, each a testament to her multifaceted talent. Beyond her enchanting vocals, Silyla's involvement in co-directing her music videos and editing visualizers on her VHS camcorder adds an extra layer to her artistry.

Her fusion of captivating vocals, expert production, and a keen eye for visual aesthetics positions her as a rising force set to leave an indelible mark on the UK Pop and R&B scene.

“I felt like writing a hit on this day and I had recently been talking about my experiences with boys trying too hard—whether they aren’t taking no for an answer, being a bit of a wet wipe, or even in my own relationships and how they want to wife me up,” she explains. “There’s often a stereotype of men being the ones who want something casual and the girls chasing after them. That’s not always the case! Women want to have fun, too, and they should be able to explore and live their lives just as much as men are accepted to do.”
