Indie dream pop meet electronic artist Glassio has collaborated with Los Angeles based indie pop singer Beauty Queen for a charismatic new single. Called "A Friend Like You", the single marks the first collaboration between the two prolific songwriters.
With "A Friend Like You", Glassio pens a song all about friendships and those specifically that are not always healthy. Sometimes we have so-called friends that ultimately take us to a dark place and "A Friend Like You" is a goodbye anthem to those foes. Lyrics including, "Stand by to watch you breathe / Hide the fire on a two-way street / The joke is up now / I never had a friend like you," show that Glassio is ready to move on. Musically, the duo create perfect vocal harmonies with their voices complementing each other with light and dark tones. Bright synths underlay colorful psychedelic guitars and layered melodies that are infectious and cathartic.
Glassio is the project of New York City based Irish-Persian musician, singer-songwriter and producer Sam R. who has released music garnering millions of streams and worldwide acclaim in the past seven years.
