Singer/songwriter/actor who goes by the moniker Truth Hurts burst into the music scene in the early 2000s via Dr. Dre's Aftermath label where she released her debut LP, Truthfully Speaking. With a couple of Grammy nominations, extensive touring experience with Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill, and Outkast and many accolades stashed on her belt, she now returns with her new single "RnB Love".
As the title suggests, it's an ode to the core and essence of R&B music. its interconnectivity with love and how it makes people feel. Truth Hurts leans on nostalgia, lovelorn elements and heartfelt songwriting to deliver this soul-gripping tune.
Her lyrics detail the emotions of a woman willing and ready to be loved just the way she used to and this is asserted with the lines "I have had enough of all that fun and I deserve so much better/ and I know now more than ever before that after all the pain, there is clarity to gain."
"RnB Love" is the precursor to her forthcoming project She-P #revelations, which she describes as a “grown woman’s musical diary.”
