Lyrics including, "Thinking of him, but you’re thinking too much how the / thought of this guy somehow isn’t enough / say you’d rather come back to my house / all the sudden you’re honest, it’s freakin me out," show that he is aware of his lovers other feelings and how he is just a stand in for attention. Sonically, "Pickpocket" is a layered musical melting pot filled with passionate vocals, heightened melodies and stunning cello solos. Dan Radin has managed to create an intoxicating fusion of folk, pop, soul and rock.
