Veteran LA-based emcee Pawz One recently put out his album, Persona Non Grata in May and with a slew of releases under his belt, he returns with the visuals for the song "Sepukku". The record is a stark reminder of how the unwritten codes of honour have been disrespected and only revered by a few. Over the ominous and gripping soundscape provided by Shanty Gallos, Pawz One deliver commanding verses steeped in preserving the remnants of an age-old tradition of honour and respect with lines like "With no sense of respect, it's not a minor defect/Especially when your whole shit is run by a reject/No way to reset the game, So I clash with it/ Don't ask about the street code, you let 'em wipe your ass with it" which shows his disgust with the way perpetrators are faking the funk.
The visuals shot by Mighty Muds make use of several motifs and cut scenes that capture Pawz One in his element as he steps into the scene rocking the code in his spirit and demeanor.
Persona Non Grata album is a new musical middle finger from LA's Pawz One. A nine-song statement to his surroundings and the music business with various producers. The album's only guests are Los Angeles Hip-Hop legends Ras Kass and MC Eiht.
