Jess Meilman has shared a new song, titled “Cuts The Sharpest”. Marking her third single of the year, “Cuts The Sharpest” demonstrates her versatility and eclectic songwriting, released after her pop and R&B track “Nothing”, and her alternative record “Ketamine Kids”. “Cuts the Sharpest” is a vulnerable record marked by bittersweet guitars and poignant vocals, laced with raw, emotive lyrics.

“Cuts The Sharpest” opens with melancholic guitars that pair cohesively with Meilman’s ruminative, wistful vocal melodies. Building dynamically into a cathartic, memorable chorus, the song finds Meilman focused as a songwriter. “Cuts The Sharpest” is a heartfelt record that dives deep into the regret and longing that occur following a breakup. The song conjures an image of someone strumming on a guitar to alleviate the gut-wrenching emotions that are felt following a failed relationship.

“I was inspired to write this song to heal from the scars that only songwriting can reach with love,” Jess Meilman states.

Meilman’s latest is a sharply-crafted, mesmerizing release that relates deeply to the listener with its emotive sonics and lyricism.
