When you think of Virginia Beach, your initial thought is almost never music, and absolutely never reggae. With that said, today, earmilk presents to you Nubian, the baddest (by bad we mean good) reggae artist to emerge in the growing Caribbean scene in Virginia Beach, VA. Among other artists, such as Ras Attitude and Sleepy Wonder, Nubian is a prominent figure in the scene, making reggae/dancehall more recognized in southern Virginia. He was one of three people to be nominated for two awards at the Virginia Reggae Awards; the new artist award and the favorite song award. Born in St. Andrews, Jamaica and raised in South Jamaica Queens, New York, Nu didn't have the easiest upbringing. Yet his music is about being positive, moving forward and, most important of all, having fun—having your girl and a dutchmaster by your side every now and again doesn't hurt either. :) Below we have Body Language,#1 Girl and Free the Nation.
