Los Angeles duo Neil Frances (Jordan Feller and Marc Gilfry)  first appeared on our site with their high-concept debut album, There Is No Neil Frances, a 14-track body of work whose concept follows the dreams of an insect looking for its true purpose in a utopian dreamscape and now they return with their new single "Head Straight" featuring uprising LA hip hop artist St. Panther. The track is the lead single from the duo's to-be-announced sophomore album and sets the tone with its bright funk/pop-infused dance aesthetic. Bolstered by a prominent funky bassline with lush synths and a head-nodding drum groove, St. Panther floats seamlessly with their swagged-out unassuming flow hinged on an inexplicably catchy melody and distinct rhythm. This sure is a match made in heaven as listeners will be thrilled with the way St. Panther's vocals and the dynamic production play off each other and more importantly how memorable the song is even after you stopped listening.

The video for "Head Straight" comes straight out of the zany pages with its colourful set pieces, retro-visual effects and carefree approach. From the subtle colour motifs, psychedelic projector effects and simple decor, the visual sure manages to maintain viewers' attention for how unpredictable it can get with minimal effort.

“Head Straight” follows 2022 singles “High” featuring PawPaw Rod and “She’s Just The Type Of Girl” featuring dreamcastmoe.
