The L.A based singer BLAck pARty returns with a remixed rendition of one of the highlights of last year's Hummingbird. As a project, the release solidified his place in the contemporary R&B space for a larger crowd and mainstream audience.
His humble lyricism mixed with extravagant production was appreciated in underground circles for years now, but Hummingbird demonstrated a dedication to experimenting with jazz-infused vibes and matured songwriting.
With a few electronic-influenced bangers thrown into the tracklist, some outliers took a more aggressive and bombastic approach in style and execution, one being “BOMB”.
Dropping the original guest feature by Kari Faux, bLAck pARty takes the fast-paced elements of “BOMB” for a reinvention of the track that brings the same energy, but more of the “back on my bullshit” sentiment.
Though the original guest verse is dropped, Latto gladly fills the empty seat with a verse that is high rolling as it is confident.
The new verse is a palisade of boasting and defending with Latto gladly flexing her rap capabilities and rapping of luxurious lifestyles while telling off any form of hating.
