Höhn offers up the atmospheric new single and video for "Egypt Lake," out now via all digital platforms. The debut release from the budding artist, Höhn's unique musicianship brings a distinct and elegant sound to the table that enlightens from the very beginning.
“Egypt Lake” was created with field recordings from Banff National Park in Canada, where Höhn hails from. Breathing life into both the single and video, the track is instrumentally driven as Höhn took time to record the water. This brings an intense focus to the release, alongside a stunning set of hypnotic melodies that intertwine playfully with intense percussion and strong bass tones. Everything in the water has been picked up to help create and drive the piece; from flowing streams, to mosquitos; Höhn in a sense lets the environment speak for itself; and it does boldly. "Egypt Lake" is ambient and lucid, which will hypnotize you within every note.
Höhn, the brainchild of Canadian composer and pianist Eric Haynes, who is also the co-founder of neo-soul collective Busty and the Bass, comes alive with raw sounds and explosive compositions. With "Egypt Lake," the artist fuses concepts of jazz with elements of techno music, bringing to the world a distinct, and organic production like no other.
