PEAK shares refreshing release "RE-UP" [Video]

Vancouver artist PEAK has returned with a new track “RE-UP”. Teaming up with fellow Canadian native KULTARGOTBOUNCE, PEAK has found his stride in the industry, releasing an R&B banger reminiscent of both old and new sounds. Inspired by the '00s, PEAK seamlessly weaves his influences from hip-hop, pop, and R&B into his refreshing sound.

On “RE-UP”, PEAK exemplifies his versatility as he slides over a suave, moody chill-hop beat. Accompanied by a warm guitar riff and eerie synths, PEAK delivers lyrics inspired by late nights, loneliness, and sobriety. The song is haunting and melancholic, with PEAK’s songwriting and sleek vocals on centre stage. An apt soundtrack for rainy evenings and nighttime drives, the song exhibits much style and atmosphere.

Along with the single, PEAK premiered both a visualizer and a live set. Set in a dark, neon-lit living room, PEAK enters a scene that is so familiar to many; a late-night kickback with friends. With sultry live guitar and a scene soaked in character, he is able to bring his lyrics alive, morphing his lines into a story playing out before our eyes. "RE-UP" is contextualized in a whole new light in this live set, yet the song remains as somber and harrowing as ever.

With a deep breadth amongst a discography of energy, "RE-UP"’s mood sticks with you long after listening. "RE-UP" is the first track of his upcoming debut EP, set to release this year.
