Deathrow Records’ alum and rap heavyweight Kurupt recently joined forces with Indiana’s veteran wordsmith and Tech N9ne affiliate C-Mob and together the duo go as GOTTI MOB. The duo is currently working on their forthcoming collab LP, Don’t Be Stupid. and in the interim, they share the new single "Players Ball" which sees them teaming up with another Deathrow Records alum Snoop Dogg.
The record produced by underground beatmaker Johnny Slash starts off with an eerie synth and a thick bassline and punchy drums to boot, Kurupt sets the tone with a laidback flow and calm demeanour while showcasing his usual rhyme gymnastics every now and then. Snoop continues with his distinct mellow drawl and no holds barred playalistic lyrics while C-Mob closes it out with his gruff vocals and keeps a lid on the track with some pimping but rhymes like "I get tail and lay the pipe, I exhaust you" made me chuckle at the way he casually approaches the subject matter.
The track is tied by excellent vocal scratches that sample old verses from the trio.
"Players Ball" is taken from the forthcoming LP that would be released on the 16th of December via Penagon Records and GOTTI MOB in partnership with Compound Interest.
