London-based British/Singaporean alternative R&B artist JVSMINE is back with an alluring new single "Forgive Me" which also comes with an accompanying video. The soulful pop-infused ballad produced by Luke Osborne exudes a potpourri of emotions with its ethereal pads, sublime synths and steady afro-pop grooves that ebb and flow from verse to chorus. This forms the bedrock for JVSMINE's gripping vocal performance which engulfs the backdrop with much lucidity as the singer looks within to find her true self in the face of love. She acknowledges her faults when it comes to giving and receiving love but doesn't let them hinder her from being truthful and open to learning more about the dynamics of this age-old feeling humans have been living with.
The visuals directed by Sam Kinsella see him employing a plethora of motifs throughout the video with excellent storyboarding to match. From atmospheric performance shots and romantic set-pieces that lead nowhere to dreamy sequences that focus on the singer cloaked by women, viewers get transported into the mix as we explore her journey through different phases of love, loneliness and finding strength to push further.
"Forgive Me" is the follow-up from her two-track release Floating and the first of the series of tracks upcoming from her mixtape which is due to release in 2023.
