MisterWives Encourages Self Awareness in "Wrongside"

Indie pop icons MisterWives just released their new single "Wrongside," a tale of roller coaster highs and lows, and an epiphany that ultimately clears the path for better mental health and wellbeing.

"Wrongside" delivers a message to the tiny voice inside our head that can be critical, judgemental and self-destructive. The band urges listeners to heal from unhealthy inner-dialogues, thus creating a healthy space for self-love and unrealized potential. Oftentimes we don't even realize that our mind can be a prison cell until we are too far deep. With greater self-love and practiced awareness, our head can be a safe space.

Featuring lead singer Mandy's glowing vocals atop a bright tapestry of smooth flowing iridescent sonics, the song is honest, introspective and connects with the listener in the most vulnerable of ways. Lyrics such as, "It all feels out of reach / And it used to never be / How'd I get so far deep / The blame is on me / I'm my worst enemy," reimagines the pain of spiraling out of control.

Mandy of the band further confides, “ I have spent a lot of my time on the wrong side of my mind- the one full of fear, doubts, insecurities, shame," confides Mandy. "I hope Wrongside feels like a friend to anyone who struggles being kind to their mind."

MisterWives recently launched their own imprint label Resilient Little Records under Photo Finish / Virgin Music. After enduring difficulties and setbacks, the band is getting serious about mental health, releasing recent tracks "Easy" and "Where Do We Go From Here?" that capture these intense moments and provide a sense of connection and hope for their listeners. The band is also set to perform the Brooklyn Bowl on October 10th as part of a World Mental Health Day Benefit for the music industry. Listen to "Wrongside" here as a delightful indie pop self love reminder.
