Texas-bred, California-based artist Anaya LoveNote has shared a new visual for her single "Preference." Defiant and electrifying, "Preference" makes for an anthem for female empowerment, and the accompanying new video does well to enhance its lively, roof-raising sound. The talented LoveNote has previously worked with Taylor Gang, Too $hort, and more, and has been steadily building buzz from singles such as "He Say", and now her latest offering "Preference."
"Preference" contains hard-hitting, infectious production centred around boisterous 808s and crisp percussion, with addictive arpeggiated synths layered above. Atop the powerful instrumentation, LoveNote delivers stylish, fierce vocals that find her smoothly weaving together lines at a rapid pace. The new video captures the track's colorful, exciting sound through its usage of fast-paced shots packed with action, as well as a charismatic performance from LoveNote herself.
Regarding the release, LoveNote says, "Preference is a song inspired by how I was dating a really really huge celebrity and at one point I lost myself in that person. I was very distracted. I wasn't going to the studio, and working on me and he ended up breaking me to the point where I lost myself. I was getting high one day and I was so broken and I just prayed and I started writing – Preference is the song that came from all those emotions and feelings."
The latest from Anaya LoveNote, "Preference" makes for an infectious offering that grips the listener with its electrifying style and simply does not let go until the end of its 3-minute run time.
