It’s no doubt that Adam Mohamed is making his mark with his latest single "Stuck In Traffic." Easing us in with smooth and unapologetically jazzy electric piano chords, the track is truly a melting pot of different influences, with a nod to both R&B and Hip-Hop.
Synths are heartwarming and touching, providing a great layer for his infectious vocal to be laid upon. Adam's thick Dublin accent cements this new offering as a part of a genre of his own creation, with a minimalistic beat allowing for a strong foundation that provides a groovy element, but Adam's vocal delivery takes centre stage.
Speaking on his new single, Mohamed says explains: “I was in the car driving along the coast with my girl and son in the back. We got stuck in a long queue of traffic. I took a glance in the rear-view mirror and thought to myself 'this isn't too bad'. Once you have the right people around you everything else will be good. The song came to me straight away, naturally. I didn't have to do too much.”
Adam is an Irish-Sudanese recording artist from Ballymun in Dublin. Debuting in early 2021, Adam released "Untitled," a spoken word film about growing up mixed race and mixed religion in working class Dublin. The piece went viral, resulting in 400K views and a spot on the Irish school curriculum. With fantastic success under his belt already, we think he’ll go straight to the top.
