st.James pays homage to the past and present of "Aquarius" on her sultry new anthem

st.James came to prominence as part of Netflix's reality show Byron Baes earlier in 2022. Through that program, the Gold Coast-native gave viewers a glimpse into who she was as an artist for the first time when she trialled an earlier song called "Liars" during episode 3 of the series.

Following on from that aforementioned song, st.James has followed up with her newest single called "Aquarius." It's a song that showcases a new sense of direction, through the placement of a delicate mix of sultry, dark, brooding soundscapes. These factors set it apart from her earlier works- in which she uses an underlay of glossy production and immersive layers, with sweeping and skipping vocals over a pallet of mixed hip-hop, electronic and alt-pop undertones.

Whilst st.James is still relatively new to the music scene, she has managed to emerge as one of the brightest new talents out of Australia, with a song that is essentially an ode to both the past and present simultaneously. This would have to be st.James' most polished and finely tuned song to date, as it oozes with charisma and topical lyrics through its nearly 3-minute runtime.
