Hailing down from the North, Lois Levin breaks out with her new heartfelt single "You Don’t Make Me Feel Good Anymore." The Liverpudlian singer expresses her feelings for loss and lust through ‘modern production and era-transcending references’ to beautifully express a sad situation.
Levin explains, “You Don’t Make Me Feel Good Anymore is exactly about what you’d think. The song is direct but still confusing and complex, kind of what happens when you find someone attractive but it's just absolutely going nowhere and it’s not even worth it."
Her sound can be contrasted by the likes of Celeste, Laura Mvula and Lianna La Havas, though her sound explores a northern touch similar to Lapsley. "You Don’t Make Me Feel Good Anymore," is a soulful expression of modern pop that demonstrates an artist set to rise up. After meeting fellow Liverpudlian producer Jon Withnall, who has produced works from Rihanna and Coldplay, the two set about trading demos and ideas over lockdown. A few studio sessions later, she found herself with her first few singles.
"You Don’t Make Me Feel Good Anymore," is a track which explores a rising artist finding new roots, which can be seen in contrast to her previous release "Burden." The new single is out now Via RISE Records.
