Afrobeat artist Gibrilville makes his entry on EM with his new single "Angels"—a reflective record that talks about his recent trials and tribulations. From various court cases to time in prison and even moments of attempts on his life, Gibrilville has been through it all and pours his heart on wax as vividly as he can. Backed by the soothing and soulful backdrop, the rapper graphically detailed all his misfortunes with his commanding gruff vocals and laidback flow. His style is a bit conversational and has a storytelling pace to emphasize every word. He is joined by vocalist/producer Jaysynths who add a unique melodic hook to tie the verses together.  The song also talks about his foray into different religious practices such as Caribbean Obeah and Islam and he also pays tribute to his late father.
Overall, "Angels" is a semiautobiographical account of Gibrilville's spiritual journey and gives new listeners a glimpse into his life.

Gibrilville is an emerging artist who has lived in Ghana, the US, and is fluent in both English and French. He also runs his own record label Foreign Exchange records where he puts out his music.
