Emerging Atlanta rapper Lil Tragic represents the zone 3 area, and in his new single and video "Long Live B5", he invites us to get into the mix. The record is built on ominous orchestral strings layered over sparsely arranged 808-heavy trap drum grooves. The young rapper sure finds his pocket with his expressive flow, which is parts Young Thug, parts Weezy with a unique melodic twist. He gives listeners a short glimpse into what goes on in his hood and the various experiences that shaped him. Even with the street life behind him, he knows he still needs to be careful with his moves, but he also doesn't shy away from putting down the opposition if it comes down to it.
The video for "Long Live B5" is quite straightforward and sticks to a formula that hardly fails. Quick cut scenes, short neatly spliced performance shots, and subtle transitions keep things moving along.
Lil Tragic is relatively new and started making music in May of 2020 and hasn't looked back since.
