The Can't Miss Michelin Star Speakeasy Experience at Coachella This Year

Yes, you read that correctly. While a legion of 175,000 people colonizes the Empire Polo Fields for Coachella this year, there will be a secret little speakeasy tucked away in the heart of the festival grounds serving a Michelin Star-level food experience within an intimate air-conditioned setting. Restauranteurs and respected entrepreneurs Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee are recreating a version of their critically-acclaimed L.A.-based establishment, Sushi by Scratch within a cozy 12-person hideout at the festival this year.

The illusive 16-course dinner will greet patrons with a cocktail before launching into a mouth-watering nigiri and sake pairing. The meal concludes with a special dessert and one last farewell cocktail to cheers the extraordinary experience. While many festivals have begun to embrace more luxury culinary sit-down experiences, Coachella and Scratch Restaurants take the experience to the next level by refusing to compromise on Michelin Star quality and the experience by mirroring the festival menu with their LA-restaurant menu. Chef Phillip Frankland Lee promises this experience will by no means be a watered-down festival version.

The price tag for this truly unique experience will run $375 and include all the food and drinks pairings. While that's not your average food cost for teenage festival fans camping in their car this year. The experience does provide an oasis for those looking to elevate their trip out to Palm Springs this year, in between the world-class music. This year's Coachella has been sold out for months with VIP tickets running roughly $1100, so an exclusive experience at this caliber at that price is a bargain in comparison to the food and drink costs around the rest of the festival.

There are still a few spots left open for Weekend 1 and 2 but they are going fast. Click here to learn more: coachella.com/sushi-by-scratch
