Brooklyn based indie pop meets electronic synth duo Great Good Fine OK have just unveiled their latest single. Called "Love Runs Out," the dance pop track follows "Someone To You" released earlier this year.
With "Love Runs Out," the band has crafted a sonically upbeat banger complete with Prince-inspired vocals, colorful synth pop soundscapes and driving bass. Staying true to the duo's confessional high-spirited pop signature sound, the track is full of sparkling melodies and soaring vocals. The meaning, however, is a darker and more poignant one, with heartbreaking lyrics including "when did the love run out, I'm dying for closure, you're living without." They make it a point to explore the feelings and moments when love leaves a relationship, as more often than not, one is left with confusion, desperation and sadness that often takes time to heal.
Great Good Fine OK burst onto the indie music scene in 2013 with their viral hit "You're The One for Me." Writing their first single the same day they met, the duo founded by Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman have created a long standing musical partnership with over 30 releases to date. The two value collaboration and have worked with the likes of The Chainsmokers, Twenty One Pilots, Panama Wedding and more. Take a listen to "Love Runs Out" and take any sorrow you have from a relationship gone wrong to the dance floor.
