Berlin musician Alice Merton gives a glimpse of her sophomore album S.I.D.E.S, with electro-tinged alt-pop number “Same Team,” which explores the intricacies of team work within a layered soundscape.
Rooted in her signature addictive alt-pop sonics yet infused with touches of a brooding ambience, the track that draws from several personal and work-centric experiences, combines upliftment with deep introspection, seamlessly covering a range of emotions in its textured instrumentals.
The contemplative offering, sees Merton delve into a time where she felt like the people around her were making her doubt herself, and the essence of teamwork seemed to dissolve.
