US rapper L’S810 unveils an imaginative tale of traveling to a parallel universe and returning with a higher consciousness on latest album Requiem Of A Black Man.A self-described “new beginning,” the 18-track production moves through mellow moods and gritty soundscapes, capturing the DIY musician’s new found freedom in life and music.
Opening with the foreboding sonics of “Requiem,” before slipping into the uber anthemic sensibilities of “The Return.” On his fourth official body of work, L’S810 delivers suave yet hard-hitting rap verses back to back on tracks "Talk That," and “Big Mitten.” The fierce beats give way to electrifying stand-out “Big Mac,” which blends seamlessly into the smooth cadence “Better Than,” featuring alluring vocals from featured act Holli.
The next highlight comes toward the end of the album in the form of “Living The Goodlife,” a candid production which captures the rumbling grit of his hip-hop style.
