As Latir prepares for his new EP, he shares a self-produced single titled "Carousel" which dives into the concept of being helplessly in love. Bolstered by the mellow, atmospheric production made up of soft piano keys, cinematic strings, and warm basslines over soft drums, the singer takes listeners deep into an elusive dream where love reigns supreme and negates all the pain in the world. He opens up the track with honeyed vocals that detail the dynamics of being head over heels in love. Joining him on the record are Tokio Myers and Olivia Nelson who add their own melodic touches to complete the love-soaked mission that captures the essence of a past connection.
Latir is a London-based alternative R&B artist with a love of multiple genres ranging from hip hop, old school jazz, indie, and electronic music. The North West London-raised artist found his passion while singing in the church and school choirs and later playing the clarinet and traveling with a local band before he reached 18-years-old. He is also a songwriter and has written/recorded tracks for acts such as Tokio Myers, Krept and Konan, and Kojey Radical.
"Carousel" is the first self-produced single to be released from Latir’s upcoming Anthems For Lovers EP.
