The emotive rapper KYLE returns with new single "Optimistic", in collaboration with Dougie F and is out now on all platforms.

Steeped in emotion and feel-good energy, "Optimistic" combines delicate piano chords with KYLE and regular collaborator Dougie F’s smooth vocals and heart-on-sleeve lyricism. The suitably cinematic, Singing in The Rain-reminiscent official video sees both artists take centre stage as they deliver a touching visual representation of the track’s romantic vibe. "Optimistic" will feature on the California artist’s forthcoming album, the follow-up to last year’s See You When I Am Famous!!!!!!!!!!!! and his 2018 debut Light Of Mine.

"Optimistic" is a timeless song,” KYLE insists. “A classic love song about heartbreak and mending that heart back together. It was special to me to make one of those songs for this album. Big thanks to Dougie F for making this record possible.”

KYLE, better known by his stage name SUPERDUPERKYLE, burst onto the scene with breakout single "iSpy" in 2017 that welcomed the now-28 year old as a free-spirited rapper. He has since collaborated with artists such as Kehlani, Lil Yachty, G-Eazy, Chance the Rapper, Miguel, MadeinTYO, Yuna, Ty Dolla Sign, while more recently dropping "Love Me Like You Say You Love Me", produced by fellow R&B artist Leven Kali, as he continues to show us his growth as a newly independent artist.

An independent artist from New Jersey, Dougie F is best known as the owner of STRAGG Records. He has also toured with Travis Scott and collaborated with Pitbull on hit single "On Purpose". In October he released his latest EP WITHOUT A SMILE which features production from Marzi, WondaGurl and Mike Zombie. KYLE and Dougie have been friends and collaborators since 2015, when Dougie joined KYLE on his SMYLE tour. Kyle then featured on Dougie’s track "home girl" in 2017.

"Optimistic" finds KYLE at his most impassioned, but as the title suggests, it's a track with hope at its heart.
