After taking a mini-hiatus to focus on her newborn child, the veteran Canadian emcee Eternia is back with us with a new release and video titled "Most PPL." The record is a collaboration between her and Toronto-based Juno-Award-winning producer Rel McCoy who crafts a summer-tinged, reflective soundscape for Eternia to share her thoughts on what true friendship and camaraderie mean to her. Always sharp with the lyrics, Eternia breaks it down in a matter of frankly way as she acknowledges that people will always look out for themselves before others but it's all about love for her and she will go the extra mile for her loved ones.
For the visuals, Mark Carrenceja of Noisemaker Media helps brings some bright elements that tap into the uplifting vibe of the song. He and Eternia go back to the borough of Queens, a place where she set down roots for about 8 years which is also the longest single location of her entire life. Eternia's glowing demeanor is also captured on-screen as she walks through the block she used to call home while paying respect to her day ones. The visual was shot while she was 5 months pregnant during the time she was putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming project with Rel McCoy.
"Most PPL" is the lead single from Eternia and Rel McCoy's forthcoming LP titled FREE. The LP will be available for pre-order on Sept 07 and hits DSPs on Sept 24 via Fat Beats. The 12 track LP boasts guest features by Wordsworth, Shad, Mr. Lif and Phoenix Pagliacci, among others, and will be available through all major DSPs as well as vinyl in limited quantities.
