Celebrating their first large-scale event in the wake of the pandemic, organizers of CRSSD Festival in San Diego are set to kick into another gear with the launch of DAY.MVS XL in Waterfront Park this weekend. The two-day city-center festival will touch down on the beautiful grassy oceanfront location August 7 + 8, showcasing some of the most popular names in underground-leaning electronic music.

DAY.MVS will be a back-to-basics two-stage event focused on house and techno and will host after-parties across the city in San Diego venues, as well as setting sail for after-hours events on a boat departing from the Waterfront Park location.

These are 5 acts EARMILK can not wait to get lost to at Waterfront Park in San Diego come August 7th and 8th 2021 at DAY.MVS XL.

Two tried and true titans of authentic progressive house, Anjunadeep mainstay, Odd One Out don Yotto and Vivrant label founder Jeremy Olander will be gracing the stage of DAY.MVS XL for a not-to-be-missed back-to-back set. Both are known to independently weave together exquisite sets that take fans on an immersive journey through innovative and intricately produced material. Streaming below, check out these two new tracks fans should keep an ear out for on the dance floor.

Northern Italian brothers Amedeo and Metteo Giovanelli, AKA Mathame have made a striking impact on the melodic techno landscape in quite a short time. Releasing on top-tier labels such as Tale of Us' Afterlife imprint and more, their iconic Cercle set at Reforma 180 heliport in Mexico City will provide ample insight to the sets the duo are capable of weaving and sure to bring to the table for DAY.MVS XL.

Unfortunately having had to cancel his landmark tour supporting his third artist album Brightest Lights, Lane 8 returns to San Diego for DAY.MVS and will deliver a firestorm of top tunes across his catalogue and that of his This Never Happened label. Keep an ear out for his latest release "Riptide" ft. Davey Havok, a driving, stage-ready single truly designed to go off at shows as fans return to the dance floor.

As one of tech-house's most revered acts, Fisher is set to headline DAY.MVS XL on Saturday. Fresh off of the release of his brand new single "It Feels Tight", check out the music video below for a preview on the antics sure to ensue during his performance at the festival. Embodying the spirit of the season and in line with the active energy of the track, Fisher takes on the role of a fitness instructor; doing his due duty by leading a highly engaged group of beauties through a masterclass in beat fueled aerobics.

Also playing Saturday, producer, remixer, DJ and Area10 label boss, Detroit native MK came to prominence early on in his career when songs like “Always” and “Burning” seeing him became some of the most influential house producers of the ‘90s and still remaining so today. With a remix out just today of his original production "Chemical" by Nic Fanciulli, his set at DAY.MVS XL will have an undeniable pulse that will drive the dance floor.

Stay tuned for more news and features surrounding DAY.MVS XL festival in San Diego this weekend.
