After meeting at a party, genre-bending artist Folamour and UK disco-pop artist SG Lewis just clicked. Days later, they would be recording vocals and writing lyrics to fit melodies. This all leads us to today with the release of Folamour’s new single “Lost in Space”, featuring SG Lewis.
An infectious beat, no doubt. The track maintains a hard-hitting club beat complemented with a throbbing bass. Drawn-out twinkly synths and funky guitar are layered under reverbed vocals. As the transition into summer draws nearer, this track acts as the perfect song to get back into the party scene.
Speaking about the collab, Folamour said, “Like me, [SG Lewis] was familiar with this feeling of solitude with which we learn to live day by day, the absence of someone to share our sorrows and our tiredness, the emotions that run through us, but also our joys and our successes, trapped as we can sometimes be in this uninterrupted race between planes and concert halls.”
Folamour’s third album, The Journey, is set to release on June 11.
