Rising UK talent Ray Mono and ever-impressive London-based duo GruuvElement's delivers new EP Unsolved Smoker, as Bamboleo Records' seventh release.
Ray Mono opens the A-side of Unsolved Smoker, working bumping kicks in tandem with warped vocal snippets for a smooth number in lead track "Mandala Vibe". Amidst the hazy pads, Mono inserts an infectious flair of groove, leading way with an equally funky follow in "Unsolved". Rolling percussions, low-slung grooves and snaking bleeps fill the void, solving its sonic mystery with the producer's sleuthing production. On the B-side, GruuvElement's introduces off-kilter synth patterns and sharp drums in "Smoker", before rounding off the EP with "Shiny"—a stripped-back cut fusing organic production licks with sophisticated electronic melodies.
