Raynes lament the sweet and sour of LA fame in ‘Lemon Drop’

A transatlantic trio consisting of two Brits and an American, Raynes' latest single ‘Lemon Drop’ has it all. The track highlights catchy melodies, soft violin and a stunning blend of vocal harmonies, and narrates the persistent sweet search for fame and the bitterness that comes with it.

Raynes takes inspiration from a vast variety of musical genres. From eclectic folk to pop and Americana, it’s a unique fusion of styles they’ve deemed as “expensive folk.” Crafting a slick and shimmering sound, their one-of-a-kind music is purely irresistible. “Even with all of the more exotic or unusual components, it’s really just pop music at its core,” Mark Race reveals.

The dichotomy in Raynes' lyrics are what make their music so compelling: they sing of heads and hearts, blood and bones and wine and water. With Bible stories, Greek myths, or historical events as their muse each track shines with masterful storytelling. Raynes continues to grace audiences with their melodic folk and punchy pop.
