J-Scienide teams up with rapper/producer Kev Brown for the gritty, futuristic collaboration titled "BUCK ROGERS". The track showcases the duo's musical chemistry as they deliver mind-gripping bars from a galaxy far away. The sci-fi themed track is equipped with multi-layered ethereal textures pumped by a solid boom-bap drum groove. The duo also recruit DJ Jon Doe who comes through with some excellent cuts on the chorus
"BUCK ROGERS" is the first single off Kev Brown and J Scienide's upcoming collaborative album Drum Machine/Tape Cassette. The entire project is produced by both Kev Brown and J Scienide with features from a handful of emcees from the legendary Low Budget crew from Kenn Starr, Hassaan Mackey, Kaimbr, and emcees Supastition, yU, Finale, among others. The project is as organic as they come. As J Scienide puts it, "We just got together one wknd and made a few beats and wrote some rhymes on the spot, called a few friends over to record verses and bring some vinyl, hit up a few to send some verses and the result was this album."
The album will be out in August.
