Bronx flame-spitter Cory Gunz is back, but on the reflective tip following the legal troubles that thwarted his rapid ascent in the industry. Teaming up with DMV emcee/KungFu Grand Champion Philippe Prosper, the duo proceed to deliver an onslaught of menacing bars after bars over a lush, bouncy production in "Paradise". While they do lace the beat with multis, punchlines and double cadence flows, Gunz still touched a little on his personal situation when he states that “Overdue, I guess it’s why they keep the waitin’ on me, 'Paradise' ain’t a location or vacation for me/Feeling decent with no precinct or a station on me, livin' life every day a celebration for me”…
The visuals blend summery aesthetics and some explosive kung fu fight scenes in a very entertaining manner. Prosper uses the visuals he co-directed with James Whitley to show and prove both his verbal and physical martial art as he kicks off the video with some Kill Bill meets Drunken Master moves.
