The imitable divine vocalist Caswell crafts a lush combination of neo-soul and pop on glimmering new single "Stay The Night'". The eery yet somewhat sultry track addresses her first experiences of rejection and captures the bittersweet feeling of not getting what you want.
Blending hints of R&B with minimal electro licks and those incredibly sweet vocals, "Stay The Night" is an immediate hit from the BRIT School alumni. Explaining the track, she says the song is one she "wrote in my bedroom when I was 17. That was my first experience of real heartbreak and rejection."
The downtempo electronic foundation is the key to this track, it's stellar production enhances Caswell's vocals to create a complete pop gem. Losing track of time is very easy when you listen to this track, it's a glimpse into the beautiful wonderland.
"Stay The Night" is the first taste of what's to come on her second EP Blindside. The EP "chronically follows through significant destructive relationships from my past, and then transitionsinto a much more positive phase" she explains. "Previously I've really struggled in regards to upholding my own value and self-worth and I've always had a blind-spot for broken or emotionally unavailable men, so not a great mix."
