St. Louis born, now LA native Josh Golden, better known as GOLDN has been adding to his musical repertoire since he first fell in love with the guitar at 9 years old. Since then he has refined his skills as a singer-songwriter and producer, which has earned him impressive credits with artists like Gucci Mane and Rihanna.

"’honest’ was written right after a long state of delusion… I was suppressing how I really felt about my past relationship ending and acting how I wished I was feeling. writing 'honest' was me finally getting real with myself, letting go of my pride, and becoming consciously aware of what was really going on inside me."
Emotion pours from his voice as each kick and snare dances on top of the dreamy pads, which then introduce a vocoder in the drop that perfectly fills out the empty space. The track remains simple, allowing his messages to and voice to take center stage as he shows off his scale and hits home with words like "I keep lying to your friends saying I'm doing great."
