The Motion Epic is a retro synth-wave project by Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Pat DiMeo. On his newest record "Cool Kids", he teams up with producer Dre K of Kingsway Studios to craft a song that is unapologetically 80's to the core from the big drums, lush synths, and sugary melodies. Tapping into his childhood as an 80's baby, he's created a nostalgic record which he says is for all the risk takers, dream makers and the inner kid that still lives deep inside of us. From the dreamy sound texture and art, you can see and feel the 80s movie influence right away and immediately films like The Goonies, and ET come to mind.
