Madnap is a young gun making serious noise out of LA with his unique twist on future bass music. He recently dropped a remix of Win & Woo's "Chasing Tail," and it's a doozy.
The remix masterfully toes the line between blissed-out and brooding in an arrangement highlighted by warm chord progressions and fluttering synth stabs. It's the track's drop, however, that makes it really shine. Madnap expertly deconstructs the future bass mold, alternating between euphoric saws and pitched vocal chops instead of mashing them together in frenetic fashion like a lot of other producers do. You can get familiar with him at the links below.
Also, don't sleep on his original tune "Jasmine" – with its blend of melodic trap and oriental samples, it's one of the more forward-thinking tunes in his catalog.
