Midwestern bass slinger SN0WMASS is a relatively new name in the electronic scene, but he's throwing it back to the glory days of melodic bass and I'm here for it. The producer's new single "Breaking" possesses a certain glitchy, cerebral quality that recalls melodic bass forefathers MiTiS, Rameses B, and early Seven Lions. With the over-saturation of fluff future bass crowding the dance music collective subconscious today, it's a welcome departure. An edgy, alternative rock-inspired vibe refreshes the tone, recalling the artist's early days cutting his teeth in garage bands. SN0WMASS is bringing a recently forgotten vibe back to the genre, and I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for this talented newcomer.
