Chromeo calling on line one – "better pick it up." The Funklordz are back in action with their follow up single, "Bedroom Calling," which comes off their forthcoming album Head Over Heels.
The guys have enlisted the help of The-Dream for main vocals – giving the track a more R&B feel. Frontman Dave1 states, "We’ve been obsessed with The Dream since ‘Fast Car’ from his first album. To us, he’s a modern day funk auteur, like Prince or El Debarge. This song pays homage to our favorite work of his."
"Bedroom Calling" is another slam-dunk throwback jam from the Canadian duo. The track has that classic Chromeo Funk with a level of retro 80's vibes you cannot ignore. The bass line kicks, the synth notes pop, and the chorus is so simplistic that it gets stuck in your head immediately. As the second track off their fifth studio album, Dave and P-Thugg are definitely showing they still got it. All hail The Funklordz.
