Open Mike Eagle's enjoyed a banner 2017 campaign and the visuals for "Hymnal" — a track off his transcendent Brick Body Kids Still Daydream project — add yet another notch to the win column.
The LA-by-way-of-Chi-Town alternative hip hop artist teams up with director Brent Bishop to throw some long-overdue satirical shade at the superficial world of televangelism. "Hymnal" was already a trippy ditty off of BBKSD, but watching holy hairpiece-donning Mike Eagle deliver the song's hook with a church choir behind him adds even more juice to the track. Sammus, who's also rocking her Sunday best in the video, absolutely murks her feature verse. She's so on point, in fact, that she doesn't even have to switch up the rhyme scheme one time.
